Who We Are
HUG Park Friends is a community group that supports the beautifucation and use of Hollywood, University and Gooch Parks in Memphis, TN. The group was founded by JoAnn Street and inspired by a lifelong passion for growing community through parks. Since conception, HUG Park Friends has managed to gain local support and bring many fun and useful resources to the North Memphis community that the parks serve. We encourage community members of all ages to join us as partners, sponsors, or volunteers. We’d love to see you at one of our events.

Would you like to be part of an organization that cares about the community?
1. Share Your Time: Like a great friend to the people in your life help take care of these beautiful places by volunteering to restore vegetation, manage events, teach a class, or join a clean-up.
2. Inspire With Your Story: Letting others know what Hollywood, University or Gooch Parks have meant to you is a great way to encourage stewardship of public lands. You can do this everyday by sharing your park story.
3. Offer A Dollar For Tomorrow: While restoring signs, building new picnic structures or restoring vegetation can be a pressing need, there’s not always the money to handle all of these projects. Your annual donation as a Friend can bring an important project to fruition. Donate today!
